Threading Your Way ~ Clothes for Men ~ Link Party

Welcome to the twenty fifth edition of Threading YOUR Way with Threading My Way. Each ongoing, themed link party is steadily growing into a resource full of ideas and inspiration.

Remember, these linkys are ongoing, so you can continue to add projects throughout the year. Add as many projects as you would like.

Our twenty fifth linky for 2012 is everything Sewing, Knitting and Crocheting for Men. I'm not expecting this to be a big party. In fact, I'm sure this will be a small party. If you have previously linked up one of these items in another category, feel free to link it up here again.

Back in the 80s, I used to sew sweaters and trackpants for Mr TMW.  Most of those clothes are still being worn. I bought quality fleece and it has stood the test of time. Now that I have the time again, Mr TMW has said he'd like some more.

For those of you who were not around in the 80s, fluoro colours were all the rage, so I made this outfit for Mr TMW and he loved it. He even wore the top to work one day, even though he was in a job where most wore a shirt and tie.

Thankfully, this tracksuit is no longer worn, although this post may prompt Mr TMW to dig it out of the back of the wardrobe.  One of my sons, however, was glad his father kept the outfit. Here is my son in his father's tracksuit at a back to the 80s party.

Hopefully I won't be making anything quite as bright as this.

  1. Thanks for hosting thins link party! I look forward to seeing what all gets linked up. I feel bad, because I sew so often and so little for my husband, but I'm at a loss as to what I can actually make for him.

I did sew for my son when he was younger, less when he grew up,than i made mostly vests, But i knitted loads of clothes for him my husband was not too kin on having sewn clothes by me. I also wove a His & hers vest and sweater tried to add them here but had some trouble, am going to try again.

  3. Oh that tracksuit!!!!
I can't join in today unfortunately, I just don't sew for men. I only ever seem to do repairs for my husband! It will be interesting to see what sewing for men others do.

  4. I can't join in either. The nearest I have got to sewing for my husband recently is mending his trousers with kick tape. There is another pair waiting to be done soon. Not my favourite job. Years ago I made him a coat - big mistake. It went straight to Oxfam. Still, I applaud anyone who does sew for men. It could be very rewarding.

  5. Hey Pam, I finally joined. Woohoo! Though this is the only item so far I've sewn for a guy (my hubby). Thanks for your reminder email the other day. I will come back to the other linky parties and link up more blog posts. Thanks for the opportunity!

  7. When my boyfriend broke up with me 4 weeks ago..

I did everything to get my boyfriend back but nothing worked.

I contacted a relationship doctor i saw online.

I told the relationship doctor everything,

He promised to fix my relationship problem.

I am the happiest lady on earth right now,

Never too late to fix your broken heart.

You can still get your lover back...

    Fix broken relationship/marriage...

My relationship was restored as promised,

    My Ex-boyfriend came back,

He promised never to leave me again

Everything happened just in 3 days..

    I RECOMMEND YOU TO __________________
